Carbon Reduction Plan
Supplier Name: Altus
Publication Date: 18 August 2026
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
Altus is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 across Scope 1, Scope 2 and all relevant Scope 3 emissions.
This commitment applies to Altus on a global geographical boundary. Altus currently operates primarily within the United Kingdom; however, the Net Zero commitment applies to the organisation’s full operational footprint should activities expand geographically.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been prepared in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard, using UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors where applicable. The Government publishes conversion factors annually for organisational greenhouse-gas reporting.
Baseline emissions footprint
Baseline year: 2024
The 2024 baseline has been updated to include all Scope 3 categories considered relevant to Altus, including downstream emissions associated with the use and end-of-life treatment of powered products sold to customers.
| Emissions | 2024 tCO₂e |
|---|---|
| Scope 1 | 0.00 |
| Scope 2 | 1.80 |
| Scope 3 | 73.78 |
| Total | 75.58 |
Scope 3 emissions include purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel and energy-related activities, transport and distribution, waste generated in operations, business travel, employee commuting, use of sold products and end-of-life treatment of sold products.
The 2024 downstream product-use estimate reflects the materially higher volume of powered equipment supplied during the baseline year, including approximately 250 Nobi units and 150 display screens. Nobi’s published specification identifies an 18 W operating load with AI/IR and lighting off, with higher consumption when lighting is in use. Product-use emissions are therefore estimated using product volumes, expected useful life, power-consumption assumptions and relevant electricity conversion factors.
Current emissions reporting
Reporting year: 2025
| Emissions | 2025 tCO₂e |
|---|---|
| Scope 1 | 0.00 |
| Scope 2 | 1.50 |
| Scope 3 | 11.17 |
| Total | 12.67 |
The reduction in reported Scope 3 emissions between 2024 and 2025 is primarily attributable to a substantially lower volume of powered products sold during 2025. Approximately 50 relevant powered products were supplied during the reporting year compared with approximately 400 during the baseline year.
The change therefore reflects business activity and sales mix as well as ongoing carbon-reduction activity. It should not be interpreted as an equivalent reduction in the emissions intensity of individual products.
Scope 3 reporting
Altus reports all Scope 3 categories considered relevant to its operations in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.
The following categories are currently considered relevant:
- Purchased goods and services
- Capital goods
- Fuel and energy-related activities
- Upstream transportation and distribution
- Waste generated in operations
- Business travel
- Employee commuting
- Downstream transportation and distribution
- Use of sold products
- End-of-life treatment of sold products
Upstream and downstream leased assets, processing of sold products, franchises and investments are not currently relevant to the Altus operating model.
Some Scope 3 figures are estimates based on available operational, purchasing, travel and product information. Estimates relating to sold products use product volumes, expected useful life and available energy and emissions factors. These calculations will be refined as primary supplier and product data improves.
Carbon reduction targets
Altus has adopted the following targets against its 2024 baseline:
2030: continue measurable reductions in operational emissions and improve the accuracy and completeness of Scope 3 reporting.
2035: achieve substantial reductions in emissions within Altus’s operational control and work with suppliers to reduce value-chain emissions.
2050: achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2 and all relevant Scope 3 emissions globally.
Annual emissions may vary with business activity, particularly where the number and type of powered products sold materially changes between reporting periods.
Carbon reduction initiatives
Altus has implemented or is progressing measures including:
- reducing unnecessary business travel and using remote support where practical;
- improving energy efficiency within business operations;
- reducing waste and improving responsible disposal and recycling of electronic equipment;
- employee engagement and education;
- engagement with suppliers regarding environmental performance;
- responsible purchasing and procurement;
- greater use of digital processes;
- monitoring Scope 3 emissions and improving supplier and product-level data;
- considering product energy consumption and end-of-life impacts when selecting and supplying equipment.
Measurement and reporting
Emissions are calculated using the GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard, together with UK Government greenhouse gas conversion factors.
Where complete primary data is unavailable, reasonable estimates are made using available operational, travel, purchasing, product-volume and technical data. Assumptions and calculation methods are reviewed as data quality improves.
Governance and declaration
Progress against this Carbon Reduction Plan will be reviewed annually.
The information contained within this Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and approved by the Altus leadership team at board level or equivalent management body.
Altus remains committed to improving the accuracy of its emissions reporting and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across its operations and value chain.
